SUN CAGED: Japanese Release Date Pushed Back

Dutch progressive metallers SUN CAGED, who feature in their ranks STAR ONE keyboardist Joost van den Broek, have pushed back the Japanese release date of their self-titled debut album to November 21. The European release through Finland's Lion Music won't be affected and remains October 22.

In other news, SUN CAGED recently completed work on the bonus track for the Japanese release, an instrumental song called "Four Guilders". "The band used a demo recording which they recorded in 2001 (it appears on the 'Dominion' demo CD)," the band write on their web site. "The keyboard tracks were re-recorded by Joost, and the bass tracks were replaced by chapman stick tracks by [bassist] Rob [van der Loo]. Joost also remixed the song."

SUN CAGED's debut album was mixed by AYREON/STAR ONE mastermind Arjen Anthony Lucassen. An MP3 clip of the track "Hollow" can be downloaded from this location.
